to embody this statement of faith. The world is filled with unrest. Loved
ones, careers, violence and hatred clamor for our attention. Even
communities of faith are at odds. We
at Central... struggle
to provide an opportunity for living our Christian faith in the ways of
Jesus. Jesus taught us to love, to find healing in the love of God, and
that through prayer, study and service we can live faithfully -- even in
the midst of the clamor of the 21st century. We
at Central... welcome
diversity and seek to be open to all people. We are enriched by those
whose cultural, sexual and theological diversity may not be welcomed by
other faith traditions. While we are not of one mind, we are of one heart.
It is the love of God in Christ Jesus who struggles with us to embrace a
divergent world. |
