Pastor Linda Dew-Hiersoux “I am thrilled to be part of a neighborhood church and look forward to reaching out to young families and nearby grandparents. It will be wonderful to be part of creative thinking around ministries to nearby health professionals and college students up the street. I am a knitter and Mark is the “creator of slow meals” for our family and friends. Our children will bring loving chaos to your hallways and sanctuary. Let’s just be up front about that!" It is with hope and anticipation that we join the family of Central UMC to grow Christ’s church in this neighborhood.” Pianist Rachel Eunah Kang, graduated from Little Angels Art Junior High and High School in Seoul, Korea as a music major in piano performance.  Ms. Kang came to the USA to further her music studies and holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Piano Performance from CSU, Sacramento. Rachel teaches music at Sacramento City College as an adjunct professor; and gives private lessons at the Capital Christian School, the Gottschalk Music Center, and from her Gold River home studio.  She joined Central UMC in April 2000 and enjoys a long history as a church pianist.  Since coming to Central, she has quickly and proficiently learned how to play the church organ under the tutelage of Roger Andrews. Rachel is the mother of Allison and Edward. Choir Director/Administrative Assistant, Sara Zeigler, leads the Central Celebration Choir assamble since October 2007. Under her guidance, the choir performs with enthusiasm and delivers beautiful music during Sunday service. Sara is also working hard at the office assisting Linda to keep the Church running smoothly.
